The ACCA dbRacing Team is based in Sydney, Australia. The team has been racing competitively since the 1984 inaugural Sydney Dragon Boat Festival at Farm Cove and is one of the founding members of the Sydney Dragon Boat Community.
The team was established in 1984, born of affiliations with the Australian Chinese Community Association, a non-profit community organisation that seeks to promote a mutual understanding between the Chinese and Australian community.
Practicing what we preach, our paddlers come from such diverse cultural backgrounds, as - Australia, Brazil, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Solomon Islands, Taiwan & Vietnam! We are proud of our cultural diversity and sportsmanship, encouraging the participation of all paddlers, whether they be veterans or inexperienced first timers. We welcome new members, of all cultural backgrounds, year-round. "We encourage you to try it at least once!"

Our paddlers can be seen competing at club, state, national and international level competitions. To foster the development of dragon boat racing as a competitive sporting event, the team trains 3 times a week, with increased training sessions in the run up to major competitions.
The ACCA dbRacing Team, in 2005, responded to the challenge and after successfully competing at the Australian National Dragon Boat Championships, returned home with a silver medal in the 250m short course event. This earnt the team an automatic entry in to the 2006 Club Crew World Championships - to be held in Toronto, Canada... "WISH US LUCK"
If you would like to find out more about us or would like to give dragon boating a try, please contact us, or simply drop by one of our practice sessions with no cost or obligation.
