CrossFit Open Session - Saturdays - 2008/09/18 14:44Hi there,
For anyone interested, CrossFit Sydney (CFS) holds open sessions at the Cook and Phillip centre. The session starts at 8am sharp and finishes just before 9am.
This is a great chance to try out the methodology for yourself. You don't have to join, just pay on the day. Cost is $30 per person. Consider it an investment in taking your fitness to the next level!
We train outside and the weather is looking great!
Cheers,
Xav (aka Damien).

Re:CrossFit Open Session - Saturdays - 2008/09/19 13:41Hi there,
Some more info - for those who want to attend, you need to make your way to the "pit", located outside the C+P. Don't go through the main entrance. If you parked in Cathedral Street (round the back of St Mary's), make your way past the car park and along the concrete wall. There's a footpath, with the C+P Park to the left. You'll see a set of stairs on the right leading down to the pit.
Hope to see some of you there!

Re:CrossFit Open Session - Saturdays - 2008/09/21 05:42hey Damo, thanks for letting us know about this. Sorry couldn't make it, I was racing up at Dee Why or at least attempted to. Didn't quite make it to the start line but I surfed my first wave !! on my surfski. It's was just AWESOME !!
Unfortunately the waves carnaged my surfski and left two holes on the side of it.
expensive first wave but boy was it worth it !

Re:CrossFit Open Session - Saturdays - 2008/09/21 10:48Hi Suzy,
Man, it must have been monster surf to damage a surf ski!? I haven't been in the surf in ages. Might have to address that now that the weather is warming up.
As for CrossFit, it put a few dents in me. It was a killer workout, not made any easier in the sun.
It's on every Saturday, so might see you down there one time. See you next time.
Damien.

Re:CrossFit Open Session - Saturdays - 2008/10/05 18:21Ouch!
I've done that before. I was on the back of a friends bike as he gunned it over a trail on a bush-based property. My legs rocked back and seemingly caught fire! Why aren't they covered!? I'm sure everyone who has ridden a motobike has similar stories...
Kyaking, motorcycle injuries - you'll fit right in with the CrossFit ethos. One of the slogans on a shirt is:
If it's sore, ice it. If it's torn, tape it. If it's heavy, lift it.
See you soon.
Damien.
