100 Pushup Challenge - 2008/09/13 10:39
G'day All,
I am thinking of participating in a 100 pushups challenge. Who's with me?
Essentially the aim is to build, over the course of 6 weeks strength to do 100 consecutive pushups. The program is simply laid out at the hundredpushups.com website.
The benefits for dragon boating are:
- ...will develop the pectoral muscles and triceps, with ancillary benefits to the deltoids, serratus anterior, coracobrachialis and the midsection as a whole. - This will result in a stronger stroke!
- We can psych out our opponents more effectively on race day!
And well, being able to do 100 consecutive pushups is cool.
Girls, you're included too! The onehundred website outlines several variations if you can't do a full pushup off the toes.
We can use this thread to track our progress - so spread the word! I'm thinking of starting soon. Once we have a few contenders, we can set a date to complete the final 100 set, maybe at training
One Hundred Pushups - Bring It!
Cheers,
Xav (aka Damien)
