Bridge Walk, Sunday, March 18. - 2007/02/06 14:17
To celebrate the Sydney Harbour Bridge's 75th Birthday, the bridge will be closed to traffic on Sunday, March 18, from 4.30am to 11pm. "We want to recreate the overwhelming sense of celebration and joy of the 1932 opening," said the event's director, Rachel Hurford.
Walkers will go from north to south, and will be moved on by marshals.
Walkers can register at http://www.ourbridge.com.au from 11am today (Feb 6). "You might miss out on a spot; if the registration process fills up within three weeks then we may have to close the list," Ms Hurford said.
So, if you're interested in doing this as a group, please post a message here. The sooner we do this the sooner we can begin registering. We could make a day of it, with lunch afterwards... just a suggestion.
