ISTP - Tues 16th, "High hands!" - 2007/01/17 11:35 What a turn out to training last night!

For a moment we almost had as many people as VADB.

Fantastic turn out! Just the boost we all needed - the committee; the coaches; and the core crew!

It's not too late to start. We have 6+ weeks to peak for CNY, State & Nationals. The improvements we can make between now and then is achievable but you have to want it and you have to work hard for it.

FYI, Coach Jananana and Magoo are putting together training plans at a micro level. If you feel the need for individual training plans, politely tap them on the shoulder. If you have any questions or you simply want some tips to help you fine tune your paddling stroke, ask a mentor - Suzy, Sylvia, Julz, Vonnie, Linh, Trudy, Roy, Matt, Tyrone, Keg, Bad, Ray, Lachy, any of the seasoned paddlers, for that matter. They're always more than willing to help a fellow ACCAdian. As am I.

Let's build with each completed training session; one step at a time, one goal at a time. If you know of someone who hasn't r.s.v.p.'d and you know them well, ask why. We need all butts on seats to achieve daily training goals and to develop teamwork.

Oh, don't forget: "Good teams are like extended families. Get to know your fellow paddlers."

"I do believe!"

Re:ISTP - Tues 16th, "High hands!" - 2007/01/17 17:37 Well done everyone on the great turn out last night!!!

As Evan correctly put, feel free to come up and have a bit of a chat about sport, e.g. you may want to learn a little bit more about the ACCA race starts, you you may just want to learn a little bit about which drinks to mix after a long race day. (hint: Not Tequila)

Anyhoo, great seeing so many new faces - give the sport a try, avoid Tony and make lots of new friends.

Oh, and dont forget Roys often repeated saying "Good teams get together for a few drinks after a hard race day - great teams are the ones still togther smashing drinks at the casino at 3am the next morning".

Well put Roy.

Brad.

Just don't get amnesia the next day.

"Did you come to drinks after the race, Roy?" Notable words from Brad
