Adventure Racing - 2006/10/01 22:38 Coming up this summer are a number of adventure races that involve kayaking (which you can all do) running (which you can all do) and mountain biking (most can do).

I aint gonna lie cos it aint easy but people do it of all ages and you can walk if tired. 3 in a team. Below ive listed some dates and web addresses. I cant make the first Sydney one and ive already sorta got a team for Canberra but i couldnt see why anyone from ACCA couldnt enter a team.

29 October - Narrabean
1 December - Canberra - night race
16 December - Canberra
February - Sydney

www.tevaadventureseries.com (run/mtn bike/swim or kayak or tubing)

22 October - south of Sydney (probably Belanglo State Forest)

www.maxadventure.com.au (run/various activities)

25th November


If you can complete one of these then you can do anything. Its good fun.

thanks for putting up these links. I remember talking to Vonnie and Adrian T about these adventure racing events.

I think I'll either do one late this year.. so maybe the Canberra one or better yet I think I will probably complete one in early next year.

sounds like fun, especially for someone like me who has very little navigational skills. Might need a SuzyK rescue team...
