ACCA previously posted a 'get well article', for Jon Taylor, as he battled with cancer; and he was kind enough to respond with a thank you note in our guestbook; so it is with great sadness that we announce his recent passing.
The thoughts and sympathy of all who knew JT are with his family at this very sad time.
2008 / 09 Races
DBNSW Points Race 4 (Tacoma)
The fourth points race of the season will be held on the 10th January 2009, Saturday at Tacoma. It's an approx 400m course race!
The 2008/09 dragon boat racing season has just began for ACCA, starting from 9th September 2008 to end of April 2009 and then training throughout Winter in 2009.
So if you have ever wanted to try out the sport or even wanted to try out something new? Why not come join us at one of our training sessions. See link to training RSVPs, why not sign up while you are there. We welcome anyone with any level of fitness or dragon boat racing experience to give us a try.
While you are thinking about it, why not get a friend to come along as well? The great thing about this sport is, that we all work as a team, to paddle as one and the more paddlers there are, the merrier we get.
ACCA invites you to join us, learn a new sport and meeting new friends! No prior paddling experience is necessary!

In Season Training will officially commence on the 9th September 2008.
This is to be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 8:30am for water training. These sessions are designed to fine tune parts of your paddling stroke; to develop endurance and coordination. To keep you fit during winter. To come out of hibernation ready for the next season of racing without losing your style.
